Video design is harder than I thought, at first i believed it would relate more to Photoshop but it really doesn’t. There are different kinds of edit with video like transitions for example, video editing is basically video presentation. You make it all nice, give it transitions to make it look clean/interesting and pick some music to go with the theme of your video so it also matches the images. I like how in video editing you can rearrange and manipulate videos to your liking. For the projects we’re doing at school we’re using premium rush, which isn't really working on my computer. But I've been reading about it and looking at all the examples and tutorials given and made it clear that it requires other skills to master video editing.

since we've been out of school, covid-19 has been controlling everyone's day to day life's. no going out, no going to school, and a lot of people in our community are suffer from covid-19's effects. As far as school goes, online school allows me to control my time in areas that I need help on. most teachers are really good at answers your questions very quickly, but a down side of this online school if that I never wake up in time for zoom meetings. over all all my teachers are doing an amazing job and I am very thankful and I hope everyone stays safe!
I really enjoyed making a GIF on adobe Photoshop it was really cool and simple.little simple things like that really grab my interest because things that are really complex, yeah there interesting but stress you out the most! MY GIF actually came out super cool I hope we do more things like it. New year new things to learn! Today we’ve been introduced to animation and the different methods of creating a variety of different animations. The explains of the first forms of animations reminded me of things I saw when I was little which I don’t really see as animation. Not all animations are made on computers, I learned about how Disney does their animations and they used to draw them out. Our next project will be somewhere like that but instead of hand drawing we’ll use illustrator
In digital design and animation(DDA) we’ve gotten more creative freedom on our movie post using Illustrator. We still need to follow some requirements but there’s more choice in what we could create which I really enjoyed! This project helped me learn the importance of time management, learning what needs more or less time. A mistake I made was of overthinking my idea and not knowing what my poster should be about or what to put on it. The lack of brainstorming took a lot of my work time on cleaning up elements in my finished product. Projects like this helped me learn more about myself and about the tools I’m working with because yourself not following step by step instructions or the teacher. DDA classes should do this more often so everyone can express themselves while learning the tools in the class, it personally really helped me.
Throughout these past few days in digital design and animation(DDA) we’ve moved on from using photoshop. We’re moving on to using illustrator which like photoshop is also powered by adobe meaning some tools are in both of these applications. Our class got introduced to a tool I hate like I hate it with a passion, the pen tool. Like it takes up a lot of time because most of the time it don’t wanna act right and just goes wherever it wants. I also have some trouble with creating the gradients/shading to objects because I can’t figure out where the lines should be placed for the best gradients affect. Other than those two tools I like using illustrator and working with shapes and colors to create different symbols and objects.
These last two weeks in digital design and animation(DDA) we’ve been working on Photoshop using Abode Photoshop. The first task we got for Photoshop was to build a sandwich which would help us practice working with Photoshop. The sandwich was kinda tricky for me because it was kinda different than what I had learned in photography earlier those last few days. The first thing we had to do is change the dimensions of our background layer, which is also locked meaning it cant be altered during the layer of the other photos. Then we would use the magic wand tool, I hated it honestly it wouldn't select everything and it was pretty annoying. The masking and cutting out part was easy, but you had to remember to invert the image before doing it; That was basically it for the sandwich pretty basic stuff. The football player was way hard for me personally some of the instructions weren't really clear to me and some tools I couldn't find so easily. I started to forget what we had done in Photoshop with the sandwich over the weekend. The only thing I liked about doing the football player was coloring it and seeing what colors made it pop out, we were learning a lot about color in photography. I had to color my first football player without any mask or cheats which took me longer than I wanted to be at the end of the day I finished it. So the next thing on my Photoshop to-do list is to do a pic of myself which I don't like any picture I have but I'll make it through with this:) |
